Flowetry In Motion

These words seep out of the thin midnight and early morning cracks of time in my life. Every day these words release me. Hopefully they do something exciting for you as well.

Seasons Greedings

Walkin' in a
wasted and
wired winter

'Tis the season
to roll eyes
shrug shoulders
impatiently tap feet
hurry and buy now
beat traffic
grab rum
drink eggnog

Cash registers ring
are you listenin'?
Jingle Ling
what are we missin'?

Compassion and
humility hide
in front of our
hands raised
rarely called on
as we fall
with the snow.

You definitely have to work hard to keep from inwardly "falling like snow". I'm working hard to avoid the fall this season, but it is a battle! Isn't it ironic that this is even an issue at Christmas?

Not if you send some Omaha Steaks to the Youth Guidance in your community.

I'm singing the first stanza. Hee. ^_^ Hullo. Been bloghopping and I ended up here. My luck! Anyway, I've read your poems on this page, and the ones I have most relished are those written for or about kids, like "3 Year Old Ties it Together" and "7-7-05." Your sense of humor shows in your poetry (as in "CleanWords MessyReality" which has made me laugh out loud!), and it always is a blessing to anyone.

My first visit here has been fun-filled. Happy Holidays! ^_^
